rain/vampires/roommate lovin

So I'm going to try and fit a smorgasbord of information into this little post. First off thanksgiving. One word to describe it. . .RAIN. My family always goes to Seaside, OR for thanksgiving. We have been doing this since before i can remember. We never lived near family and decided to do our own thing for Thanksgiving. It is one of my most favorite holidays and this year I got to bring Mark! boy was he in for a treat. So i blame the RAIN this year on Mark. to explain i must back track a little. Mark has accompanied me on a couple north west excursions. Mostly back home to Gig Harbor and twice to my families beach house in Oregon. Every SINGLE time he has come the weather has been just peachy. And he ALWAYS says the legendary NW rainy weather must be a myth.
Enter Thanksgiving. TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR! so my conclusion is that the Northwest was listening to mark the whole time and decided to save it's rain and get back at him over thanksgiving break. But besides the rain (which i didn't really mind that much. . . ok i loved it) break was nice and cozy. The WHOLE family got to be there especially my estranged sister who lives in DC (Joking! she is not actually estranged i just say that because i never get to see her). As well as Omi (my dad's mom) she is a saint.

Hear is a little snapshot of the break
treats and snoozin (off Jen's iphone)

The rain stopped long enough for me to snap this pic
Two pictures above are payback because neither of my lovely siblings gave me any picture to work with! (translation: jen get me your pictures! you have been warned )

Next on the list is vampires. I know all my faithful followers are wondering what ever happened to those twilight premier tickets I thought were too good to be true. Well it was all true! And i am sure all you twilight haters will be rolling your eye balls at me when I tell you I loved every single second of that movie. I admit not the best movie ever. (KT i know you are disagreeing but remember Giant shark vs. mega octopus. . .ya or Fast and Furious) Side note: i learned the hard way that Fast and Furious and THE Fast and the Furious are two very different movies.
SO ya i saw the movie during the day while all the other fools had to wait till midnight. Suckers! Although i thoroughly enjoyed my sister's story of the men in the back of her theater yelling "Do Work" during the honeymoon scene. We didn't have anyone like that in our theater. In fact mark was very much in the minority. What a trooper for planning this evening. Which also included free chipotle and my first trip to IKEA.

Reaction to the movie. Mocking? possibly

Lastly i wanted to get some awesome pictures of my roommates before Jessi goes off to Spain for the winter semester. Love my roomies

What a wonderful life: The Pie, Breaking Dawn and HP

I have a very dear friend that got back from his mission when i was in Jerusalem this summer. His sister (Blair) goes to school with me. So when mark was out of town for a weekend i had a little extra time and made the trek up to Salt Lake with Blair to visit Ian. Gee dang it has been forever. We were able to go get some pizza at the Pie (SO GOOD) before the blizzard set in. It was my first time and i will definitely be begging mark to go back with me sometime.

Our wonderful Pie. It was Buffalo chicken Pizza. A little on the greasy side but the flavor was out of this world!

Next Item of business. Breaking Dawn. I posted how my wonderful boyfriend got me premier tickets AND agreed to go with me. Well it was all true! We went to the Gateway on a truly blustery Thursday. At at 4:30 sharp I saw Breaking dawn. Other than one moment where mark laughed and no one else did he was a perfect twilight fan. I was beyond proud of my man for doing this. I love him more and more each day! After the move we went to Chipotle. We got free meals with our premier ticket! and here is the most exciting part we finished off the night with Ikea! You are looking at a first timer. It was incredible. I loved getting lost in the rooms with mark by my side. I could not help but think about the future. Not gonna lie I like where it's going.

Mocking? no he is just that excited

Waiting to go in
after the movie. I was just so happy I saw it and was getting out of the theater at 6:30pm instead of the fools (just kidding roommates) that got out at 2 am
Chipotle: devoured in 5 min.

Best part about the premier is that it showed the preview for Hunger Games. Slightly obsessed I think they could be really great.

Shout out to Harry Potter! While mark was out of town earlier this month I took Blair to fye (girls night). she had never been and you can never go to fye too many times so i volunteered a trip. It is then that i was informed that Harry Potter is going into the vault! WhAAAAAt??? ya mild panic attack i only have the fourth one.So i called up mark asking him if I should get the seventh movies because they were on an incredible sale. we agreed that it was an investment in our future. How i love our shared joy in movie watching and buying!  SO like any rational person I got both HP7P1 and HP7P2 for those of you who don't speak abbreviation that is harry potter seven part one and two.

Fast forward two weeks and Mark and I end up at fye. and well. . .
Our Harry Potter collection is complete! (Katie, Mela, Mark) HP1-7

Happy Days! life is good and thanksgiving is right around the corner
