What a wonderful life: The Pie, Breaking Dawn and HP

I have a very dear friend that got back from his mission when i was in Jerusalem this summer. His sister (Blair) goes to school with me. So when mark was out of town for a weekend i had a little extra time and made the trek up to Salt Lake with Blair to visit Ian. Gee dang it has been forever. We were able to go get some pizza at the Pie (SO GOOD) before the blizzard set in. It was my first time and i will definitely be begging mark to go back with me sometime.
At the Pie with Ian
Blair and I
Our wonderful Pie. It was Buffalo chicken Pizza. A little on the greasy side but the flavor was out of this world!

Next Item of business. Breaking Dawn. I posted how my wonderful boyfriend got me premier tickets AND agreed to go with me. Well it was all true! We went to the Gateway on a truly blustery Thursday. At at 4:30 sharp I saw Breaking dawn. Other than one moment where mark laughed and no one else did he was a perfect twilight fan. I was beyond proud of my man for doing this. I love him more and more each day! After the move we went to Chipotle. We got free meals with our premier ticket! and here is the most exciting part we finished off the night with Ikea! You are looking at a first timer. It was incredible. I loved getting lost in the rooms with mark by my side. I could not help but think about the future. Not gonna lie I like where it's going.
Standing in front of the giant poster
Mocking? no he is just that excited
Gateway
Waiting to go in
after the movie. I was just so happy I saw it and was getting out of the theater at 6:30pm instead of the fools (just kidding roommates) that got out at 2 am
Chipotle: devoured in 5 min.

Best part about the premier is that it showed the preview for Hunger Games. Slightly obsessed I think they could be really great.

Shout out to Harry Potter! While mark was out of town earlier this month I took Blair to fye (girls night). she had never been and you can never go to fye too many times so i volunteered a trip. It is then that i was informed that Harry Potter is going into the vault! WhAAAAAt??? ya mild panic attack i only have the fourth one.So i called up mark asking him if I should get the seventh movies because they were on an incredible sale. we agreed that it was an investment in our future. How i love our shared joy in movie watching and buying!  SO like any rational person I got both HP7P1 and HP7P2 for those of you who don't speak abbreviation that is harry potter seven part one and two.

Fast forward two weeks and Mark and I end up at fye. and well. . .
Our Harry Potter collection is complete! (Katie, Mela, Mark) HP1-7

Happy Days! life is good and thanksgiving is right around the corner

Culture Night #1: France

SO a couple of weeks ago Mark and I were talking about traveling and I'm not bragging but i have been around (in the good way). I was born in Germany and lived in England for a couple years. When i was in 8th grade I went to Germany again with my German class. When i was 16 i backpacked through Europe with my sister (shout out Jen). When i was a Junior in high school i went to Africa for a month with my friend Maddy. And this last summer I went to Jerusalem on a study abroad. I know this appears a lot like bragging but no-way-hose I am just painting you a picture with my words! see the difference?

Anyway. Like all good relationships we add different things to the mix. Like Mark adds fantastic athletic skills and i have traveled. So mine isn't really a skill. more like an experience. side tracked again! so Mark and I were talking and he was a little down about the lack of experience he has in the travel department. (Cue-good-good-girlfriend-idea)

And that is how culture night came about. And I did it all by myself! that was bragging. So culture night is a dinner we are doing once every other week or so and we pick a country and theme our meal to it.

I kind of sort of really am over the moon about twilight. . . don't judge me

First thing is first. I would really love to learn how to align text in a post to center. any ideas? help a sister out.

Second things second. I have this theory that if you are going to see a movie, a cheesy movie see it at the midnight premier. reason 1) everything is twice as funny because it is so late. 2) everyone there wants to be there (exception: boyfriends or girlfriends dragged there to earn brownie points- bless their hearts)

which brings me to this bad boy:

that's right it is breaking dawn. I have seen twilight, new moon and eclipse at midnight. I even bribe people to go with me by paying for their ticket. I tell people my philosophy. I say it is a bad movie and going at midnight makes it better. One problem. I am actually really starting to like the movies. They are so bad and the lines are so cheesy that you can't help but laugh. Which is why they are so good!! Geeze I have become the person I said i never would. SO only one question is left to ask Am i team Ed or Jake?

Lets examine
Twilight: team Edward
New moon:holy haircut team jacob
Eclipse: wedding scene made me a team Ed fan again.

so we will see how i feel in this next movie.
But on to some exciting news! Mark that wonderful man who "willingly" came to the last movie with me texted me the other day. And guess what it said. "don't worry about buying twilight tickets". Curious to say the least.I come to find out that he was able to get tickets to the day before showing! He made a slight comment about it all being a joke. I hope he is not kidding. I would be slightly devastated. So if it turns out to be all a lie no laughing and pointing please. But man if it is true i might just be the happiest twilight fan ever!

My wonderful October

October is over and i have to say it is one of the best i have had thus far in my short little life. I love Fall, i love going to school in Utah where i can look to the mountain (basically right outside my window) and see all the bushes and trees burst in to red and oranges and yellows. It is simple wonderful to live snuggled up in nature like i do. ok soap box over just know i love life right now and the weather has a lot to do with that. There are some seasons that just make you smile when you think about them. Ok word recognition (I did this in humanities 202 joke of a class lets be honest i was on facebook for majority of the class and still got an A but i really liked doing this)

Ok i say October and then what it reminds me of.
October:
1) sweaters
2) crisp leaves
3) air that burns your nose a little because it is so cold
4) Halloween and dress up for adults (yes please!) also dressing not even close to your age. don't judge its fun and once a year. It's my thing ok! what do you call it. . . oh ya guilt pleasure. its my guilty pleasure it comes with the whole lindsey package.
5) peppermint everything is fair game!
6) pumpkins and crafty things

just to name a few.
At the beginning of the month I wanted to have a list of things to do. I feel like unless i have a list as well as tell someone about said list (witness) it will never get done. So the wonderful mark and i made separate lists and did tons-o-stuff on them.

so lets recap!
1)Park City date!

Right before we left. It was beautiful weather and it called for a nice little sun dress and a beautiful man on my arm

trying on clothes in the outlets. I call this sassy face

Eating on main street in park city. we went to Flanagan's Pub (mark had Irish stew and i had bangers and champs) words do not even describe how melt in your mouth the food was.

perfect date!

2) cousin outing at thanksgiving point
waiting for the other cousins to show. We had Diane and Rob (married) Christie and john(friends. . . )
After we came dead last in the corn maze. not our fault everyone cheated!
this night also includes bouncy castles, pig race, gold mining, and a hay ride. ye-ha!
3) lunch with these fine ladies (mads and lara) best scones i ever had just sayin too bad i did not get a picture of the food. with a nice little surprise visit by a close friend of lara's.
4) Mark's Halloween family party
80's basket ball start. don't be Jel
the night included eating jello worms that looked so real its unnerving. And carving a snowman pumpkin in like an hour flat. we are kind of a big deal.
5)Alpine loop (sad no pictures but it was beautiful and the pops of yellow all over the mountain made me want to cry. oh wait i did. i get a tad bit emotional with everything now a days. luckily a hug and kiss from my lova are all i need most of the time.
6)group date with the roommates. glow in the dark bowling. It is so amazing! but i also like mini golf. . . ya i'm that person
Ryan and mela both on cell phones. we popped in to costa vita to wait and they gave away chips and queso for filling out a survey
Jessi and me. we wore opposite red and white
i love him! and he smokes me in all athletic activities. whats up with that?
That's my roommate! meet katie buhler she can tell you about her softball team if you let her.
Winners!
Losers.
7) Halloween dance party! (alpine i never miss it. for some things i just explain them away by saying it was freshman year nuff-said. but this is freshman, sophomore, junior year thing so I have come to accept that its one of those embarrassing things that i am slightly addicted to.
from left to right little ball of rage (mela) the camel (myself) bush baby(KT)
the gang
8)watching mark at is coaching tournament 4 and 0! geeze i think he is handsome
Doing his coaching thing
letting me distract him with a picture
9) and finally Halloween!
shakes at malt shop, Casper, Its the great pumpkin charlie brown. it was perfect.

Good month!
