Loose, Footloose take off your sunday shoes

Yesterday was absolutely wonderful! The biggest reason was seeing the new Footloose. Give me some cool dancing, toe tapping songs and a mildly good story line and I'm hooked. Ok i will be honest i don't even need a good story line just give me the dancing!

But some highlights of the day also included:
~cleaning the kitchen (it makes me feel more productive than I actually am)
~helping my cousin make food for our grandparents. side note: my grandma had a stroke last Saturday. she is fine and definitely threatened to punch the doctor in the face. She is a sassy one!
~having a skype date with a long lost friend. she has not changed one bit and it is wonderful.
~ running into a new friend and going on a spontaneous bike ride.
~dinner group. once again the boys forgot what time we were eating but the left over pancakes and eggs were surprisingly great. learned how to leg wrestle. . . ya
~FOOTLOOSE. props to my man for one) going with me and two) tolerating my crazy footloose dancing before AND after the movie. needless to say there was lots of jumping off of things, spinning and hip wiggling.

All in all i liked the movie. It's no Step Up:take it to the streets (I kid! horrible movie but great dancing) but it had a nice story line good actors and payed enough homage to the original that the true blue Footloose fans didn't hate it. . . I think. I never saw the original.

moral of the story. watching movies on Tuesdays makes me a happy camper

to blog or not to blog

Hello blogging world. I have finally decided to try this thing out. But first let me tell you a little ditty about why it took me so long.

Half a year ago i was in a horribly hard major called actuarial science. I liked it because no one knew what it was (pro). At the same time neither did I (con). To this day all i know about the major is what i could find on Wikipedia. Not a good sign. And who can have a blog when half your thoughts are focused on finding x and the other half just realized x isn't even in this equation! SO no blog for me then. Anywho one horrible semester later combined with the the first round of midterms of another made me realize that this life path was not for me. Nothing says failure better than a 23% on a test. Hello Withdraw button on my class schedule! so i search for my new life.

I found advertising. I knew many people in the communications major that were the complete opposite of me so i never considered it before. What a mistake. I am now in love with all things communications related. And because i am working my buns off to make it into the program i thought it was high time to get a blog. So I am on a quest. Master all things social media related. Cross your fingers that this blog fairs better than my twitter account!
